After a season of struggle to date, Ribblesdale Wanderers served up their best performance of the term to set up a 10-wicket win over Oswaldtwistle Immanuel at Church Meadow.
The home side’s bowling attack of Ian Britcliffe (4-52), Jake Sunderland (3-33) and Jonathan Wells (1-13) severely restricted the visitors before Jordan Britcliffe saw off the tail end with two wickets from 13 balls at the expense of just three runs.
In reply - chasing a target of 105 - opening pair Brannon Varley and overseas amateur Ben Dougall stood up to everything that the away side’s five-pronged bowling line-up had to offer.
Varley fired eight fours and three sixes in a knock of 57 from 51 deliveries while Dougall obliged with 47 which included eight fours from 43 balls.
It was only Wanderers’ second triumph of the campaign as they prop up Section A with 29 points.
