Entries being taken for charity Badminton tournament

ENTRIES are being taken for the annual Blackburn and District Badminton Association charity tournament in memory of the late John Culshaw, a former mayor of Hyndburn.

The tournament is open to any player, whether registered with a badminton club or not, and will be held at Hyndburn Sports Centre thanks to Hyndburn Borough Council, who have made these facilities available.

This event will take place on Sunday, 11th March from 10 a.m.

The tournament is made up of teams of four players - two ladies and two men - who will play matches depending on the number of teams in each pool.

An entry fee of £30 (£7.50 per player) will be collected on the day, and entries are being accepted up to Sunday, February 26th by ringing 07957138914 or e-mail claire.edmundson@hotmail.co.uk
