THREE kick-boxers from Clitheroe Muay-Thai won trophies at Farnworth Old Vets Club.

Jack Cotton came away with an impressive attack of full thai-boxing action, pacing his opponent on the ropes really well throughout the fight.

Russell Bond used great technique all the way, with some spectacular movements, and Jake Fletcher moved well with some fantastic sweeps and parrys.

It was only Jack and Russell’s second contests, while Jake was making his debut,

Russell is only 15, while Jack and Jake have just turned 16.

Instructor Tony Bird said: “They gave there best with Clitheroe Muay-Thai and I think it is very good to see them off the streets and doing a martial art with boxing to channel their energy, while picking up discipline, respect, fitness, agility, co-ordination, self confidence, weight loss and much more.

“We at Clitheroe Muay-Thai also do a grading system with our headquarters at Sandy Holt’s famous gym in Bolton, which is coming up again soon, and is something juniors and seniors can also be proud of.”
