The Honda Civic Classic Mixed Bowling Competition was held at Ribblesdale Wanderers on Sunday.

It was sunshine all day for the 32 pairs who had entered, and the competition started at 9-30 a.m., with some excellent bowling from the off.

A good crowd stayed all day to enjoy the bowling and the fine weather. The final was played in great spirit, and it was nip and tuck for the first eight ends at 6-5 for the Roberts, then they extended their lead after 18 ends to 17-12, but Bond and Shaw rallied on gamely to draw level at 18 across, then 19 across, then 20-19 to Bond and Shaw, and on the last end Bond bowled a toucher to win the game.

Thanks go to the organiser Mel Edmondson and all the helpers on the day who helped make it another successful Ribblesdale competition.
