To heighten your reputation on the world stage of any sport, you need to be performing on the appropriate platform.
And talented teenage golf protege Sophie Lamb is doing just that. With the ambition of hitting the top 300 in the world amateur women’s rankings this year, the 16-year-old has earned selection to represent England.
The Clitheroe golfer has been picked by England Golf’s performance manager Rebecca Wood to play in the French Under 21 Junior Championships at Saint Cloud Golf Club from April 17th to April 21st.
Sophie, who recently finished 12th out of 113 competitors in the Italian Ladies Championships at Castelgandolfo near Rome, will team up with Gabriella Cowley, Annabel Dimmock, Samantha Fuller, Sophie Keech and Alexandra Peters for the tournament.
From there Sophie will compete in the Scottish Ladies Championships and make the defence of her Fairhaven Trophies triumph.
