RIBBLE Valley Netball Club have every right to be proud of themselves after providing 17 of the 30-strong squad following recent trials for the Lancashire District Under 14s.

And that number included three girls who are still available to play as Under 11s.

The chosen girls will have a winter of intensive training before a series of county tournaments next year.

The Under 16s also had a good day on their trials with four of the 12 girls needed coming from RVNC.

This sort of achievment has come from a great deal of commitment from the players, coaches, parents, guardians, family and friends and is much appreciated by the club.

Meanwhile, the under 12s had another superb game last Sunday against a very good Oldham team.

Having to start the game with only six players, the locals held a superb 6-1 lead after the first quarter, before going to a full allocation and going on to win comfortably, 15-5 win with all the girls playing some superb netball.
