Alan Wright is slight of stature but high in experience as he continues to produce winning scores at Clitheroe Golf Club.

A birdie on the 8th and Wright took Saturday’s Medal with his 84-17-67 return.

Julian Troup had three birdies to finish in the winners enclosure but another veteran, George Stoddart slipped into second place after cards with the same nett 68.

The 13th proved unlucky for Chris Murray as he lost out after countback with Howard Rishton for the Division One prize and Ian Sellick was only one over after nine to finish with a one shot margin over Ron Higson to top Division Two.

Keith Wallbank was the runaway winner of Division Three.

A tight finish in the previous weeks Tradesmans Trophy Final and although he dropped 7 shots on the back nine, Sean Wilson hung on to take the prize with his nett 70.

Chris Stokes had 15 pars in a sparkling 77-4-73 score to take home the Ladies Jack Tattersall Trophy.

The nine hole wizard Eileen Lambert had two points more than Barbara Blueyes to win the Stableford.

Debra Wood won Saturday’s Medal with a lovely nett 70 but only after cards with Caroline Cherry who looked good for top spot until problems on the last two cost her the win.
