Junior rugby at Clitheroe RUFC is on the up.
Over the past season the number of players and coaches has increased significantly, to the point where this year the club envisages running five sides from Under 6 to Under 14 inclusive.
This is also the first time that the club has been able to enter two teams into the Blacksticks Blue junior challenge competition.
Last season, the club had an influx of new players, some of whom had never played the game before.
It’s likely that in the build up to the next Rugby World Cup in this country in just over 12 months’ time, that the number of youngster enjoying the game will continue to increase.
Training is due to start at Littlemoor this Sunday, 7th September. Registration starts at 10am whilst training will run between 10-30 and 11-45 a.m. each Sunday.
Some of the older age groups will train midweek once the season starts.
