Ribblesdale High School pupil Joshua Bridges has won the highest accolade of the Clay Pigeon Shooting Association’s Young Shot of the Year 2014.

The 15-year-old has trained hard and shot well in 2013, with brilliant results, winning British, English and Scottish Open titles plus a silver medal in the World All Round Championships, as well as many County titles.

Joshua, who lives in Foulridge, is determined to secure a place in Team GB and is not put off by the fact that others in his category are up to 21 years old.

He would like to say a big thank you to everyone who voted for him, and also his sponsors Malmo Guns, SDS Albion Engineering, STAZ, Gastromedicalsolutions, Steadplan and of course mum and dad, without who none of this would have been possible.
