Meanwhile, at the Phoenix Fire Boxing Show, held at The Parr Hall in Warrington, the club’s first female boxer, Tori, edged a split decision against home fighter Shannon Charnley.

“All three of our boxers boxed really well, putting on a fantastic display of boxing skills,” said coach Mohammed Sirtaj.

“Toro’s light fancy footwork and fast hands proved to be too much for his opponent. Toro just gets faster.

“Drew was equally as impressive with his consistent pursuit of his opponent. He’s a strong lad and that proved too much for his opponent.

“Tori boxed really well on the night. Her hard work in the gym in preparation for this really paid off.

“Tori is due for a rematch with her opponent soon so watch this space. Well done to all boxers who took part.”
