Great night had by all at pool presentation

A well-attended Clitheroe Pool League presentation night at Billington Brass Band Club was enjoyed by all last Thursday night.

The final of the Michael Humphries Trophy set the evening off to a fine start, as Buck’s Andy Sudworth beat Nathan Wharton of Higher Buck 6-0.

The party then moved upstairs, where members were treated to a free buffet supper and entertainment from John Grogan.

Trophies were presented to all the winners from ober the season, including Tiger Taxis Challenge Cup winners Billington Brass Band Club B, and Stanley Bros League winners Billington Band Club A (Second Division), Dog Inn (First Division) and Royal British Legion (Premier Division.).

Player merit winners were:

lady player of the year (men’s division) - Lindsey Lloyd; Second Division player of the year - Mark Burgess (Billington Band Club A); First Division player of the year - David Parkinson (Royal Oak A); Premier Division player of the year - Chris Stanley (Billington B); Doubles partnership - Brian Parker and Danny King (Buck Laddies).
