Clitheroe Youth Forum members were in action in the Ambition National Pool Championship in Coventry recently.

Declan Gawthorpe finished runner-up in the Under 14s’ section, with Cameron Porter reaching the semi-finals of the Under 12 category.

Games were played on a round-robin basis, with the winners going through to the semi finals, with frames of three being played for the semi-finals and five for the finals.

Declan lost 3-2 in the final.

To get to this stage, the lads had to play in the Lancashire and North of England Finals, which took place in Preston last month.

Declan, (pictured, back row, far left), won the Under 14s’ competition, and Cameron (back row, second left) won the Under 12s’ competition.

Declan won all 10 of his games, with Cameron winning nine out of 10.

Ewan Jackson finished as Under 14s’ runner-up, while Luke Hargreaves was also runner-up in the Under 12s.
