Clitheroe tennis season starts next week

CLITHEROE Tennis club are actively seeking new members for the new season, which starts on Tuesday.

The club, which has three newly-resurfaced courts, is located within the cricket club on Chatburn Road.

As a special offer, new or lapsed adult members will be able to enjoy a reduced membership rate of £60 for 12 months’ tennis.

Junior members can join for as little as £10.

Any adult wishing to give it a try without committing themselves is welcome to attend any club night on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 p.m. in April.

As well as club nights, the club also has a number teams in adult and junior teams, and hold both club competitions and various social functions.

• ARCHERY courses are set commence at Roefield after the Easter holidays.

The centre has just received a grant to purchase new state of the art equipment for indoor archery.

The courses will be for adults, teens and children and will be led by fully-qualified instructors.

There will be an introductory price for the course, which will start from as little as just £5 per session, which will include use of all the equipment and tuition.

The archery course will supplement other courses, which include badminton, football, street dance, basketball, gymnastics, and the specially designed course to get kids active ‘Fit Kidz’.
