Chatburn Cricket Club held its annual presentation Evening at the Catholic Club in Clitheroe.

Chairman Joe Woodworth welcomed the players and puests and passed on his congratulations for a very successful season.

The first team finished as runners-up in the Craven League Second Division, with the second team winning the Fifth Division.

The midweek team, the Drakes, were joint league winners, and the juniors, Chatburn Chiefs, finished third in the Under 15s league.

Woodworth also thanked the sponsors, as well as the umpires, scorers and the groundsmen, who once again prepared excellent wickets.

The trophy winners were: First team: Player of the Year - Andy Booth; Batting award - Neil Cartledge; Bowling award - Jon Lockley; Fielding award - Mark Nerenburg.

Second team: Player of the Year - Damien Gupta; Batting award - Steve Tandy; Bowling award - Chris Mulhearn; Fielding award - Steve Tandy

Young Player of the Year - Harris Holgate.

Chiefs Player of the Year - Matt Lancaster.

The best Bowling award went to Andy Booth (7-15), the best Batting award went to Marc Glover (107).

The Duck award went to Mark Nerenburg.

Chairman award Harry Coley and Clubman Paul Whittaker.

The Braithwaite trophy was awarded to Ben Threlfall.

There was a special Presentation to Mark Braithwaite who is emigrating to Canada, after being involved with the club for many years.
