The winner on the day was captain Bill Banks, amassing an insurmountable total of 40 points. Like any champion, he took advantage of some fortune, most notably on the 7th when he found himself on the fairway 150 yards from the pin, he pulled out his trusty rescue club and took aim. To his surprise the sweetly-struck shot which just brushed some trees en route was heading straight for the pin, and lo and behold when Bill strode onto the green, there was his ball nestled in the cup for eagle and five card making points. The divisional winners were: Division One - Peter Fletcher 39 points, Runner-Up - Trevor Thornber 37 points. Division Two - Bruce Craig 36 points, Runner-Up - Kevin Walker 36 points. Division Three - Martin Byrne 31 points, Runner-Up - Dave Westwood 31 points.
