Douglas Royal showed their Warehouse Fitness Women’s League title credentials on Sunday with an impressive 6-2 victory over Peel at Douglas Road.

Leading 4-0 at the break, Donna Shimmin (3), Becci Pate (2) and Angela Waite netted for the current champions, the western response came via strikes from Vanessa Christian and Sarah Wignall.

Corinthians had an early set-back in the title bid as they drew 1-1 with Gymnasium at Ballafletcher.

Leading 1-0 at the break courtesy of a Kiera Morgan strike, the Tromode outfit levelled after the break via an Eleanor Gawne effort.

DHSOB continue to be this season’s surprise package after they moved joint top. Old Boys made it two wins out of two after defeating Castletown 5-3 at the Stadium. The Blackberry Lane outfit led 4-0 at the oranges, Rachael Christian (3), Sarah Anderton and Amy Beggs-Cairney scoring for the Blackberry Lane outfit - the southern reply came via strikes from Kim Watson (2) and Nicole Reilly.
