New signings Tom Heaton and Alex Cisak joined up with the rest of their Clarets team-mates as the squad reported back for their first pre-season session.
The players were under the scrutiny of Burnley boss Sean Dyche on their return to Gawthorpe and were involved in various drills as the squad look to build towards match fitness ahead of the 2013/14 campaign.
Martin Paterson was the obvious absentee after signing for Championship rivals Huddersfield Town midweek though last season’s leading scorer Charlie Austin was in attendance despite growing speculation linking him with a move to Premier League newcomers Hull City.
When asked about his goalkeeping captures, Dyche said: “We had to act quickly on that one due to losing our goalkeepers. We’re happy with that and I think we’ve got a nice mix there. They are players that can build on the future of Burnley Football Club.”
