Rimington ready for cup clash

THE magic of the West Riding FA Challenge Cup comes to the Ribble Valley today.

Rimington play host to West Yorkshire Premier League leaders Beeston at home in the competition today, kick-off at 1 p.m.

Manager Terry Braithwaite said: “I just hope that we do ourselves justice on the day and don’t come away from it saying, ‘what if’ or ‘if only’ as we may never get this opportunity again.

“Five out of the last eight are from their division so it shows just how strong that league is, but we are a good side and I am confident that we can cause an upset. Perhaps it may be an ideal opportunity for some local football fans to come along to watch and also support us in our bid to reach the semi-final, I would very much appreciate any backing we can get, that’s for sure.”
