Rimington rounded off a glorious season on Friday night as they won the Craven Cup at Rolls-Royce to add to their West Riding County FA Challenge Cup success and sixth-successive East Lancashire League First Division title.
Terry Braithwaite’s side had to do it the hard way in Barnoldswick as well, coming from 3-1 down early in the second half to beat Bentham 6-3.
The prolific Robert Lloyd (pictured) - the East Lancashire League First Division’s top-scorer - hit another four goals, to add to strikes from Dinsdale and Oli McLean, with skipper Craig Sargeson named man of the match.
The villagers will celebrate their remarkable campaign at their presentation night at Whalley Golf Club on Friday, June 28th.
• The club’s Annual General Meeting will be held tomorrow at the Brown Cow in Chatburn from 8 p.m.
