Two home wins was a perfect start to the new season for Rimington in Terry Braithwaite’s last season in charge, as they look to regain the East Lancashire League title.
First up were Barrowford and the newly promoted side gave a good account of themselves, before eventually going down 3-0.
Dinsdale scored a cracker in the third minute to set the villagers on their way.
Rimington had enough chances to seal the game in the first 20 minutes, but went in 1-0 up at half-time.
In the second half, Lloyd thundered home a header from a corner to make it 2-0 before Drake calmly slotted home towards the end for 3-0.
On Saturday, Oswaldtwistle were the visitors, and Rimington again went ahead when Collinge found Fagan who calmly beat his man before slotting home.
The visitors levelled when the centre forward flicked one on for Burton, stand-in keeper Lawson given no chance.
But the villagers went straight onto the attack and Oli McLean restored their lead before Bagot clipped in at the near post just before half-time.
Gary Jackson notched twice after the break to give his side an unassailable lead and leave them top.
This week sees a trip to Stacksteads.
