Readstone players celebrate end of year

Padiham Town Hall was packed to the rafters for the annual presentation evening for Readstone who were celebrating 25 years of involvement with junior football.

Chairman Paul Clarke welcomed the players and their parents and congratulated them on another very successful season.

Player of the Year awards went to – U8, Jamie Fielden; U9, Mason Barker; U10 Blue Jack Leaver; U11 Blue, Owen Parker; U12 Blue Shane Scott-Slater; U12 Yellow, Harry Burrows; U13 Yellow Morgan Crowther; U13 Blues, Adam Collison; U14, Callum Trimmer; U15 Patrick Fleming; Junior, Jack Leaver; Senior, Callum Trainer; Clubperson , Martin Higginson; Chairman’s Trophy, John Leaver.

Sportsperson of the Year – U8, Taylor Smith; U9 Jay Read; U10 Blue, Thomas Andrew; U11 Blue, Rowan Winter; U12 Blue, Shane Scott-Sinclair; U12 Yeloow, Joshua Shirazi; U13 Yellow, Hamza Waseem;U13 Blues, Richard Smith; U14 Oliver Dreslin; U15, Connor Birnie.

Players’ Player of the Year – U10 Blue, Finley Barrow; U11 Blue, Kye Read; U12 Blu, Daniel Hanna; U12 Yellow, Luke Gregson; U13 Blue. Elijah Bello; U14, Owen Gould; U15, Mason Tomlinson. Most Enthusiastic Player went to Callum Heslinton (U8) and SamPearce (U9) while Lewis Haworth (U8) was Most Improved Player.

In addition to the Readstone awards the following teams won league and cup honours.

The Under 10s won the league and were beaten finalists in the cup; under 11s were runners up in the consolation cup; Under 12s Yellows were runners up in the league and winners of the cup;Under 13s Blues were winners of the consolation cup and the Under 15s were runners up in the league.
