Clitheroe Cricket Club and Ribblesdale Wanderers Cricket and Bowling Club are holding a Sportsperson’s Dinner featuring former Arsenal and England star Paul Merson.

The Sky Sports pundit will be the guest speaker on Friday, April 1st at Stirk House.

Merson earned 21 England caps, scoring three goals, between 1991 and 1998, playing at the European Championships in 1992, and the World Cup in 1998.

In his club career, he was at Arsenal for 12 years, making 289 appearances and scoring 78 goals, helping the Gunners to the league title in 1989 and 1991.

Comedian Venn Tracy will also provide entertainment, while commentator John Gwynne will be MC.

The event starts at 7-30 p.m., with a smart dress code.
