Lowton's joy as Clarets get the rub of the green
Burnley have fallen foul of late goals on home soil on several occasions this term with Swansea City, Hull City and Arsenal all benefiting.
However, with the game against the Toffees heading for a stalemate after Yannick Bolasie cancelled out Sam Vokes’s opener, Scott Arfield struck in the final minute to snatch maximum points.

“When they got back in the game they were trying to get the winner. We did drop a bit deep trying to defend to get a point. Once you’re ahead you really don’t want to lose it.
“With the goal, it’s a great effort from Johann in the first place, it looked like it was going in, but with Scotty following it up, it’s a great finish. It does seem a lot better when you win it in the last minute.”
The Clarets are proving hard to beat on their own patch of land and the former Aston Villa man believes that their home form will prove crucial to their hopes of survival in the top flight.

“We want to make it as tough for people to come here as we can. We don’t want them to come here and allow them to play their football, we want to get in their faces.
“We’ve had some big scalps; we beat Liverpool and Everton and we were unfortunate against Arsenal. As long as we can keep performing at home we’ll hopefully start picking up results away as well.”
