THIS was a solid start to the season for Wolves in a tough, physical game.

Wolves pressured from the start and opened the scoring with a Ben England strike, soon followed by a Matthew King header from a Taylor Wilson cross.

Crown sent a chance wide, before Wolves Keeper James Prendergast made a solid save. Wolves again went on the attack, with King going wide, and Connor Jackson was denied, before firing wide.

Kit Lloyd then hit a stunning strike from out wide, taking the score to 3-0 at half-time.

George Bland scored a fantastic free kick early in the second half before a combination of strong defensive work and sustained attacking from Wolves saw Lloyd, Taylor Wilson and Harry Jackson all denied before Bland chipped into the net again. A Joe Wilson strike was kept out before Crown netted from a rebound and a free kick.

A HAT-TRICK from William Slipper helped the Wolves ease to victory in their first league game.

Daniel Scott gave them the lead, before Slipper (2) made it 3-0 at the break.

Wolves dominated the second half, with further goals from Oliver Hunter, Theodore Jackson, Tyler High, Lloyd Hitchen and another from Slipper.

Man of the match was Henri Hodgson.
