Whalley’s Joe Garner reached 20 goals for the season with a brace for Preston North End in their 3-1 win at Oldham Athletic on Saturday.
And North End assistant boss Glynn Snodin feels he could yet reach 30 as the Lilywhites bid to continue their push for promotion and a return to the Championship.
Snodin said: “To reach 20 goals is a great achievement no matter what league you are playing in.
“He has taken his chance really well and got to the 20-goal mark, which is a figure all strikers look for.
“I think that Joe can get 30 goals if he believes he can – and if we keep getting good service into him.
“He is full of confidence at the moment and wants to score more and more goals.”
