Dog Inn will reach their first-ever Terry Cattermole Trophy Final if they defeat group rivals and holders Stanley Ultras at King George’s on Sunday.

The Whalley side fell behind after failing to deal with a corner on 10 minutes. However, they levelled matters through the in-form Anton Gawthorpe. Within minutes, they were in front thanks to Olly Steele’s superb finish.

Having withstood a Globe onslaught at the start of the second half, they scored a third when Gawthorpe set up Mark Lord for a tap-in.

For the second week running, Toby Barker was deservedly named man of the match.
