Sabden 6, Rhoden 5

Sabden maintained their good start to the season with a third win from four games, but it was a hard fought victory.

The first half delivered no less than nine goals as madness reigned in the defensive ranks of both sides at the aptly-named Nutter Barn pitch.

Paul Astin scored twice in the opening three minutes, but Rhoden levelled matters within 10 minutes.

Rhoden moved into a 3-2 lead before Astin equsalised to complete a third consecutive hat-trick.

Rhoden scored twice either side of a Dean Foxall goal to lead 5-4 at the break.

Astin again equalised in the second half, and James Duerden rifled the ball home from 10 yards to seal the win for the locals.
