Clitheroe Wolves returned to winning ways with a good victory over fourth placed Blue Star, consolidating their own position in third.

Karl Lingard claimed another man-of-the-match award, supplying both first-half goals for John Harris and Callum Baxter, then adding the third goal himself with an exquisite chipped shot from outside of the area, before Blue Star pulled a goal back.

Meanwhile, Readstone Under 8s Yellow beat Great Harwood Rovers 5-2.

The goal scorers were Charlie Nowell and Alex Morrisey. Nathan Danson was named man-of-the-match.

Readstone Under 9s Yellow were also on the winning side progressing to the next round of the cup after an entertaining 3-2 victory over Barnoldswick Barons.

Harry Burrows scored a hat-trick with Luke Gregson named picked up the man-of -the-match.
