THIS was a hard-fought win for Wolves in a tough match, during which neither team had many opportunities at goal.
Mill Hill had the edge in the first half with Wolves’ defence being tested, and finally broke the stalemate with a long range shot to take the lead going into half-time.
Wolves fought back in the second half, and took the lead through goals from Harry Jackson, Harry Excel and George Bland.
Mill Hill pulled one back as the game neared the end, but Wolves ended the game on the attack, thus ensuring the points.
Man of the match was awarded to Joe Wilson.

The youngsters made a solid start with Atkinson and Lloyd pulling the strings in midfield.
Lloyd was again providing chance after chance and it wasn’t long before Hibbert found the back of the net with a neat left-foot finish.
The goal of the game came from Hibbert, when a sublime lob from the in-form striker found the top corner.
Lloyd and Sutcliffe were running riot down either flank and Lloyd added to his tally with a well-taken goal. He added his second with a neat headed finish after a pin-point free kick by Atkinson.
Lloyd added two more to take his tally to 23 for the season to complete a great day for the young Wolves, who now have four tough games as their title challenge gathers momentum.
