Clitheroe will be looking to put recent woes behind them when they take on Wakefield at Shawbridge on Saturday in the Evo-Stik First Division North.

Paul Moore’s side currently languish in 16th position in the hierarchy after six games though that placement could’ve been improved in recent outings.

Instead both Darlington 1883 and Mossley added insult to the injury hit Blues with late goals to deny Moore’s side crucial victories.

Clitheroe led the Quakers 2-0 on home soil with nine minutes remaining at the weekend but suffered a frustrating 3-2 reverse.

And the Lilywhites inflicted similar heartache at Seel Park midweek when Daniel Broadbent scored in time added on to cancel out Chris Dykes’s opener.

The Bears lie a place below Clitheroe in the table on identical points but have shipped the second highest amount of goals in the division.

Kick-off on Saturday is 3 p.m.
