Clarets keeper Alex Cisak is set to join Leyton Orient, with former England keeper Chris Kirkland training with Burnley.

Cisak, who joined Burnley from Oldham two years ago, had a spell at Orient on loan last season, playing 19 games, after a similar lon at York City earlier in the campaign, but the 26-year-old will now seal a permanent switch to Brisbane Road.

The Poland-born keeper only made two senior appearances for the Clarets, as a substitute after Tom Heaton’s dismissal in a 2-0 defeat at Brighton, starting the subsequent 3-0 Capital One Cup win over Preston in 2013.

And Kirkland could be his replacement, having linked up with the Clarets on Monday, following his release from Sheffield Wednesday.

Kirkland was training with Bury, but could now move down the M66 to Turf Moor.

The 34-year-old started his career at Coventry City, before a £6m move to Liverpool in 2001, but made only 57 appearances, with loan spells at West Brom and Wigan, before a permanent switch to Wigan in 2006.

There he also had loan stints at Leicester City and Doncaster Rovers, before joining Wednesday in 2012.

Kirkland has one England cap, against Greece in 2006.

Meanwhile, a third summer signing is imminent at Turf Moor, and could be announced tomorrow after a slight delay this evening.
