BURNLEY FC striker Charlie Austin has been announced as npower Championship player of the month for October.

The Clarets goal machine netted seven goals last month in a prolific season.

Charlie beat Peterborough United’s George Boyd and Blackburn Rovers centre back Grant Hanley to the national title.
