Burnley FC launches junior Ability Counts club

editorial image

Burnley Football Club is starting a junior Ability Counts club at Soccer Burnley at Crow Wood today from 11 a.m.

The club will run every Saturday, for secondary-school aged children with a disability of any sort, learning, physical or sensory.

It is open to boys and girls aged 12-16 and the first two sessions are free.

Children will get the opportunity to play for Burnley FC in friendlies and competitive matches against other clubs.

It is open to any ability, regular training and a chance to make new friends.

There will be the opportunity for children to continue into adult football, as the Burnley FC Ability Counts senior team also trains at Soccer Burnley.

Don’t forget your trainers and shin pads, and there is plenty of room for parents and friends, a bar and café area.
