Cricket final takes place tomorrow

The final of the Clitheroe and district cricket league Sportsworld Cup will take place on Sunday.

It will be at Whalley, between league champions Chipping A and Low Moor, with a 2 p.m. start, and promises to be a thrilling encounter.

Spectators will be most welcome and refreshments and bar will be available.

• ROEFIELD Leisure’s award winning Time Out is challenging teenagers aged between 12 and 15 to an array of sporting activities.

The centre is holding a fruit bowl challenge over a five-week period from Saturday.

The challenge comprises of various activity goals - in the fitness suite participants are required to complete set distances. In the climbing room, teenagers are required to complete a number of preset routes on the wall.

The participants can also challenge any member of staff at the many different activities offered, the idea being that by successfully completing a challenge, a piece of fruit is won.

Healthy eating amongst children is currently under the spotlight and Roefield Leisure is looking to promote the idea.
