Canning hits unbeaten century as Wanderers ease past Fenny

Ribblesdale Wanderers earned a 51-run win over league newcomers Feniscowles and Pleasington, as Ryan Canniing hit an unbeaten century.

Wanderers batted first at Church Meadow against Feniscowles and made an impressive 225-2 in 45 overs.

A second wicket partnership of 168 between Alistair Marsh (89) and Canning(102 not out) – Canning’s knock from 124 balls – was the highlight.

Martin Wrigley added 21 not out, from 24 deliveries.

In reply Feniscowles were bowled out for 174, as Jacques Snyman hit 55) and Michael Caton 43.

Jordan Britcliffe took 3-34, Omar Hussain 2-44 and Kian Farnworth 2-25.

Wanderers are at Baxenden on Saturday.
