Tourists from all over the country are sampling the delights and scary stories of Ribble Valley’s haunted village inns.

Simon Entwistle led the latest group, from Nottinghamshire, on a Skills Holidays tour starting at the Calf’s Head at Worston, to the Swan at Whalley, The Sun at Chipping, the Hark to Bounty at Slaidburn, the Lower Buck at Waddington and the Swan and Royal at Clitheroe, having a drink at each and hearing Simon’s stories of local hauntings, before staying overnight at the Foxfields Hotel, Billington, then on to haunted Samlesbury Hall.

Simon said: “The Ribble Valley haunted inns tour has proved very popular this year with bookings coming in thick and fast from around the country.

“It is really nice meeting people from all over the United Kingdom, showcasing the beautiful Ribble Valley and supporting local businesses.”
