A man had to be rescued from his car after it flipped onto its side during morning rush hour.

Police and paramedics were called to the Northcote roundabout on the A59 near Langho. On arrival they found a Fiat 500 flipped onto its side.

A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: "We received a call at 8-51am today (Friday) about an accident on the A59 near Langho. Police and paramedics attended and the driver appeared to be okay. The road was partially blocked, but it has all cleared now."
