Seven people were taken to hospital yesterday after being involved in a serious collision at a notorious Whalley junction.
An elderly woman and her husband, plus another casualty who had sustained life-threatening injuries were airlifted to Royal Preston Hospital in three separate air ambulances after the horror accident along Accrington Road, near Spring Wood Picnic Site.
Emergency services, including five fire engines were sent to the scene of the crash, which involved a mobile home and coach.
There were four passengers on the bus who were taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital.
The accident happened about 2 pm yesterday and the road was closed until after 6 pm.
