A task force made up of Waddington Parish Council members and villagers took to the streets one evening recently with their brushes, shovels and bin bags.
The working party made their way along Clitheroe Road from the war memorial to the Higher Buck sweeping, weeding and generally giving the main thoroughfare a spring clean.
As judging for this year’s Best Kept Village competition is now underway, members of the parish council decided to lead by example sprucing up the village and giving it a tidy up!
They would now like other Waddington residents to follow their lead and keep areas adjacent to their properties tidy and litter free ready for when the judges visit.
