A COFFEE morning was held by the dispensary staff at Clitheroe Health Centre in memory of a much-loved colleague who died last year.
Ann Turner was a popular member of staff at the dispensary and is greatly missed by everyone. Her colleagues decided to honour her memory by holding a coffee morning in order to raise money for the hospital that provided such wonderful care for both Ann and her husband Brian, during her short illness last year.
Staff from throughout the centre were asked to roll up their sleeves and bake cakes to boost funds for the Haematology Unit at Blackpool Victoria Hospital and Duncan House at the same hospital ((where Brian stayed while looking after Ann). There was also a raffle held and the event raised £500 to be split between the two worthwhile causes.
