DJs at community radio station Ribble FM are appealing for an anonymous benefactor to come forward so they can say thank you ... for their pizza delivery.
Five large margherita pizzas were delivered to the station’s studios in Back York Street, Clitheroe, last week.
The radio station, which has been operating for almost a year, after its launch last year with the aim of enhancing and promoting the towns and many villages which make up the Ribble Valley, broadcasts on 106.7 FM across the Ribble Valley as well as streaming online via its website and app which is available on iPhones and Android devices.
Drive time slot DJ John Nicoll said: “It’s a complete mystery.
“A fella came to the door with five large pizza boxes and I thought he must have got the wrong address.
“He assured me that they were for us and that they had been paid for.
“They were ordered online by a woman – we’d really like her to come forward so that we can at least say thank you for her generosity - the pizzas cost more than £50 and we all thoroughly enjoyed them.
“It was a really lovely gesture and very much appreciated.”
