Staff and pupils from St Augustine’s RC High School stopped for the two minutes silence to remember those who have given the ultimate sacrifice in service of their country.

Around school, eight trumpeters played the Last Post followed by the two minutes silence, finishing with the Reveille.

Headteacher, Mr Michael Wright, said: “This forms part of a day of remembrance in school which includes prayers for those who have died. The school’s horticulture group have also laid a new remembrance garden at the front of school with a plaque made by the pupils.”
