Three Clitheroe galleries and art studios will join forces in August to stage a showcase of some of the best contemporary artists from around the Forest of Bowland.
Commencing on Friday, August 8th with a quirky exhibition of edible art in celebration of Clitheroe Food Festival, which is being held the same weekend, the “Bowland Revealed” exhibition can be viewed at Longitude Gallery, Ribble Valley Art Studios and the Platform Gallery until Saturday, August 30th.
The exhibition is celebrating 50 years since the Forest of Bowland’s designation as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and aims to offer a range of creative encounters to inspire visitors, engage them and allow them to enjoy their experiences.
“Bowland Revealed” leads a creative journey through the past 50 years, including meeting with artists, taking part in high quality art experiences and the creation of ambitious temporary artworks within the local landscape.
