A record entry of exhibits led to a recount to find the overall winner at the 10th Grindleton Horticultural Show.
More than 400 entries from 57 different people of all ages made a magnificent display in the village’s new Pavilion with the first floor room turned into a mini craft gallery for the afternoon. The overall winner was Anne Huson, with Eddie Moorcroft a very close second and Basil Dearing, third.
Co-organiser Mandy Brennan said: “It was the best show ever and we were delighted to have so many children entering this year, they were all very creative and responded to the new art and craft categories with enthusiasm. I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who entered, baked, judged, visited or helped in any way at all – it would not be possible without such wonderful support.”
