There was glitz and glamour at this year’s Hollywood-themed Citheroe Chamber of Trade ball.
The eagerly-awaited annual event, held at The Stirk House Hotel, Gisburn, saw Chamber “stars” don posh frocks and snazzy jackets and dance the evening away to live music by five-piece band, “Manhattan”. Entertainment was also provided by Ribble Valley Dance, choreographed by Lindsay Pollard.
The black tie ball was organised by Katie and Sam Winstanley, from Megabites of Cumbria. It was the last official function for out-going chamber president Karin Wilson, who thanked everyone for attending and supporting two charities – Salute and Pendle Dogs in Need – who will each receive £500.
In-coming President Tony Gould said: “Not everyone appreciates just how many people are involved in Clitheroe Chamber of Trade and Commerce or how we can help across a wide range of business models.
“Clitheroe Chamber is active throughout the community, not only helping businesses, but decorating the town with flags and bunting as well as supporting the jazz festival, food festival and organising the annual Santa Dash to mention just a few.
We also make representations to the Town Team and liaise with Lancashire County Council.”
