Some diabolical weather for June couldn’t stop more than 25 local cyclists from enjoying a Clitheroe Bike club annual event.

They took part in the club’s annual Ride Day, open to all and comprising four different 25-mile routes around the local villages, setting off from the Platform Gallery in Clitheroe at intervals throughout the day.

Many of the group took part in all four rides with several achieving their personal best mileage. Kristian Kay (15) was the youngest cyclist to complete the full 100 miles and is pictured celebrating with his thumbs up at the end of the ride.

Clitheroe Bike Club hosts weekly rides and regular cycling events. New members from all cycling disciplines are welcome. For more information visit the club’s website (clitheroebikeclub.co.uk) or call Paul Worden on 07546977067.
