A DOZEN Clitheroe Ramblers set out from Hurstwood near Worsthorne for a 10-mile ramble into the Pennine moorlands.
Led by John Webb, the group walked alongside Hurstwood reservoir before going on the Burnley Way over to Widdop reservoir. The day was fresh and sunny, in stark contrast to when this same walk was done three years ago in driving rain. On that occasion the five reservoir walk became a four reservoir one!
This time, after admiring the sun shining on Lower and Upper Gorple reservoirs, the group took a peaty path past the unusually shaped Gorple Stones and on to the more isolated and less visited Cant Clough reservoir.
The consensus of opinion at the end of the walk was “What a Good Day!”
