A Clitheroe woman asleep in bed with her boyfriend woke at 4am to find her ex sitting on their bed.
Blackburn magistrates heard Matthew Fred Gawthorpe had climbed a ladder and entered the house through an open window. But when told to leave he did so without any trouble.
Gawthorpe (19), of no fixed address, admitted harassing his former partner by climbing through her bedroom window and making phone calls at unsociable hours.
He was remanded on bail for the preparation of a pre-sentence report. Conditions of bail include no contact with his ex or her boyfirend, not to go onto the street in Clitheroe where she lives, and to observe a curfew between 8 pm and 7 am.
Mr Richard Prew (defending) said Gawthorpe felt he could go round to his former partner’s home whenever he wanted and she would put a roof over his head.
“Obviously it was an awful experience for her and her partner, but when he was told to go he did,” said Mr Prew.”
