A CHEQUE for £750 was presented to the North West Air Ambulance, the money raised from the previous series of charity concerts at Padiham Unitarian Chapel.

The money was handed over before the most recent concert there, featuring organist Gordon Stewart and trumpet player Tom Osborne. Concert organiser Barry Brown presented the cheque on behalf of the chapel to the deputy chief executive of NWAA, Jackie Northover. Also in attendance were the Mayor and Mayoress of Ribble Valley, Coun Ian Sayers and Mres Jean Hayes. In fact the Musical Extravaganza concerts draw many of their audience members from neighbouring Ribble Valley.

The next one, on November 10th, will be given by the much travelled and highly talented Arden Youth Choir. At this concert a further cheque for £750 will be presented to the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund.

Admission for this concert is £7 including refreshments. For more information phone organiser Barry Brown on 01282 773336 or e-mail: barryrbrown@googlemail.com
