Ribble Valley Mayor Coun. Michael Ranson and mayoress, Mrs Janette Ranson, officially opened Quiet Riot Studio.

Run by local man, Paul Marriott and his partner Nettie Bethell, the studio, situated in Whalley Road, will exhibit a huge range of paintings from Ribble Valley artists.

Speaking about the launch, Paul said: “It was nice to have the mayor and mayoress there, along with our friends who joined us.

“There are various works of arts displayed here including watercolours, acrylics, oils and even displays from a local blacksmith. The ages of the artists range from 19 to 80-year-olds and we are looking forward to welcoming more.”
